The idea is to place the code on websites that have Google ads associated with your account. Deleting My Account: Step By Step
Before you delete your Google Analytics account, visit each of the web properties that have your Analytics code in place and remove the code. Then, as long as you are the administrator of the account and the Analytics account is not linked to any other accounts, you can delete the account.
